Helping Families Heal

Each year, thousands of Sacramento-area children experience child abuse, and each month UC Davis Medical Center admits one child to intensive care for child abuse injuries.

Child & Family Institute's mission is to:

• Provide compassionate treatment to families who have experienced childhood trauma.
• Build strong families and communities that keep children safe.
• Foster child, family and community resiliency, as well as cultural empowerment, to help families heal.

Each week, Child & Family Institute provides counseling to:

• 400 at-risk children and their families
• 200 students throughout local schooldistricts and communities
• 50 homeless children and their families
