Dermovate

Dermovate is a drug, which has been developed to treat various skin disorders including such as atopic dermatitis, lichen, psoriasis or eczema. The preparation may also sometimes be used in treatment of auto-immune diseases as alopecia, vitiligo or lichen planus. Dermovate is considered to be a highly potent corticosteroid, thus it is used externally and is contraindicated in internal use. The drug comes in cream and ointment forms and is contraindicated for more then 2 weeks of consecutive use.

Dermovate is contraindicated during for administration in such cases as: increased individual sensitivity to any components of the cream or to other corticosteroids, in treatment of perianal or genital itching, during acne rosacea, or acne vulgaris, oral dermatitis, viral or fungal infections of the skin or mucous membranes. Dermovate must be avoided in treatment of dermatosis in children, including fungal or bacterial skin infections.

Actovegin

A completely other drug which we want to present is Actovegin, a biogenic stimulator, that is prescribed in such disorders as ischemical insult, cerebra-vascular trauma, cerebral blood-flow insufficiency and other conditions. The drug comes in different pharmaceutical forms, which include gel, cream, injectable solution and tablets.

Despite the great benefits that the drug may bring to the patients, it also may express several side-effects, which can be harmful to the persons wellbeing such as allergic reactions, hives, flushing, sweating, increase of body temperature. Certain contraindications should be known by the patient and the doctor prior to the initiation of treatment such as sensitivity to any components of the drug, pregnancy, lactation period ad etc.

Essentiale-forte-N

Last drug on our list is Essentiale, a famous hepatoprotector, which contains substances called essential phospholipids, these promote functions of cellular membranes, thus imporving the cellular function in turn leading to improvement of liver function. The drug is prescribed in treatment of disorders such as fatty liver degeneration, cyrrosis, liver coma, liver toxicity, psoriasis, neurodermitis, radiation syndrome.

Essentiale should not be used in cases when there is a possibility of hypersensitivity reaction of the patient to any of the drugs components. The drug should not be used in children of post-natal age. The drug may also cause diarrhea as a side-effect in a low number of individuals taking it.
